MD-HIP is a medical device based on porcine Collagen Type I to reduce pain, improve hip mobility and support peri-articular muscle structures.
USE MEDICAL STRICT. Medical device. Use reserved for dermatologists and aesthetic doctors because they require a medical procedure.
MD-HIP is an injectable class III medical device:
- Treatment can be combined with other therapies.
- It improves hip motion and helps contain physiological deterioration of the joint and tissues.
- It can be combined with other treatments.
- GUNA S.P.A.
- NAME: MD-HIP
- COMPOSITION: Collagen of porcine origin, Calcium phosphate, Sodium chloride, Water for injection.
- PRESENTATION: 10 x 2ml.
- INDICATIONS: Reduces pain and improves hip mobility.
- INJECTION DEPTH: Peri-articularly: introduce the needle close to the joint at a depth of 13-25 mm.
Intra-articularly: introduce the needle into the anterior recess of the capsule at the level of the femoral head using an antero-superior or antero-inferior approach. When the 40-60 mm needle is in contact with the femoral head, retract 1-2 mm and inject into the
hip joint cavity.
- PROTOCOL: 1-2 infiltrations per week to contain physiological or pathological deterioration of the hip.
Obvious results as early as week three but, depending on the patient's clinical situation, treatment can be continued up to week ten without risk.
- USE: Strict medical use.
- Vials: 10 x 2ml.
Hip and peri-articular muscle structures.
Collagen of porcine origin, Calcium phosphate, Sodium chloride, Water for injection.
- The product should only be injected by trained operators, in a suitable environment, using aseptic technique.
- Injection test in patients with suspected hypersensitivity: if there is a history of allergic reactions, a preliminary intradermal/injective test and observation of the patient for at least 1 hour is recommended.
- Avoid immediate exercise/prolonged mobilisation of the treated area unless indicated.
- Do not extend treatment beyond 10 weeks unless clinically assessed; follow protocols indicated by the manufacturer.
- Do not use after the expiry date; use immediately after opening; do not use if the bottle is damaged.
MD-HIP is contraindicated in the following cases:
- Known hypersensitivity to components (e.g. collagen of porcine origin or other excipients).
- Septic processes or active local/articular infections: do not inject into infected areas or in the presence of an ongoing joint infection.
Scientific evidence shows the efficacy and safety of MD-HIP in cases of:
- Coxarthrosis
- Coxalgia:
- of muscular and/or nervous origin
- from prolonged lactation
- from ageing phenomena
- from postural defects
- by concomitant chronic diseases
- from trauma and injuries.
Treatment can be combined with other therapies.
MD-HIP is a porcine collagen-based injectable medical device designed to reduce pain and improve hip mobility. It is used for treatments related to coxarthrosis, coxalgia and other joint and muscle disorders associated with the hip area.
MD-HIP is indicated for the treatment of conditions such as coxarthrosis, coxalgia of muscular, nervous, prolonged bed rest, age-related, postural vices, concomitant chronic diseases, traumas and injuries. It helps improve hip mobility and contain joint and tissue deterioration.
MD-HIP is administered via peri-articular or intra-articular injections. The injection depth varies between 13-25 mm for peri-articular administration and must be performed by a qualified physician in a suitable environment using an aseptic technique.
The protocol involves 1-2 infiltrations per week, with results evident as early as the third week. Treatment can be continued until the tenth week, depending on the patient's clinical situation, but without risk.
MD-HIP is contraindicated in cases of known hypersensitivity to its components (such as porcine collagen) and in the presence of active local or joint infections. It is essential to perform preliminary tests in case of a suspected allergic reaction.
