MD-MUSCLE

MD-MUSCLE is an injectable class III medical device:
- Targeted treatment of muscle contracture points.
- Reduces muscle pain.
- It may be combined with other therapies.

- NAME: MD-MUSCLE
- COMPOSITION: Collagen of porcine origin, Hypericum, Sodium chloride, Water for injection preparations.
- PRESENTATION: 10 x 2ml.
- INDICATIONS: Improves muscle and joint mobility.
- INJECTION DEPTH: Subcutaneous administration: insert the needle into the skin overlying the points of muscle contracture to a depth of 4-6 mm. Intramuscular administration: insert the needle into the muscle to a depth of 9-16 mm.
- PROTOCOL: 1 treatment per week: subcutaneous or intramuscular injection of one ampoule (2 ml) or two ampoules (4 ml) per treatment into the painful muscle contracture points (trigger points). Results are evident from as early as week 3, but depending on the patient's clinical situation, treatment can be continued up to week 10 without risk. The treatment can be combined with other therapies.
- USE: Strict medical use.

Areas where muscle contractures are present.

Collagen of porcine origin, Hypericum, Sodium chloride, Water for injectable preparations.

- Use must be reserved for qualified healthcare personnel, in suitable facilities, using aseptic technique, as it involves intramuscular or subcutaneous injection at specific sites.
- Skin cleansing/disinfection of the area must be carried out before injection to minimise the risk of infection or abscesses.
- The product contains collagen of porcine origin: in patients with known allergies to animal allergens or specific food/animal allergies, the clinical situation must be assessed before use.
- Intramuscular injection into “contracture points” or muscle areas - the diagnosis and selection of the area must be carried out correctly: a differential diagnosis must be made to exclude other pictures (neuralgia, tendinitis, haematoma, etc.).
- Possible local reactions, such as slight redness, burning sensation or pain at the injection site, often resolve spontaneously within a few minutes.
- Use the contents of the vial immediately after opening: do not store the contents for extended periods.
- Keep the product out of the reach and sight of children.
- Store according to the manufacturer's instructions: protect from light and frost, keep within the specified temperature range.
- Do not use in the presence of injured skin, active infections or local conditions that preclude good aseptic injection technique.

MD-MUSCLE is contraindicated in the following cases:
- No documented cases of specific hypersensitivity to MD-MUSCLE have been reported.
- However, use is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients or excipients of the product (e.g. collagen of porcine origin, excipients). In such cases, prior to use, a preliminary injection test in a less critical area is recommended, with observation of the patient for at least 1 hour.
- Do not use the product if the packaging is damaged, the seal compromised, the vial unsterile, or after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.

Scientific evidence demonstrates the efficacy and safety of MD-MUSCLE in the following cases:
Muscle pain (acute, subacute, chronic): due to ageing, due to poor posture, due to concomitant chronic diseases, due to trauma or injury.
Muscle strains.
Treatment of painful muscle contracture points (“trigger points”).
