USE MEDICAL STRICT. Medical device. Use reserved for dermatologists and aesthetic doctors because they require a medical procedure.
MD-SMALL JOINTS is an injectable class III medical device:
- Treatment can be combined with other therapies.
- It improves joint mobility and reduces associated pain.
- It counteracts physiological or pathological deterioration of small joints and involved tissues.
- It can be combined with other treatments.
- GUNA S.P.A.
- NAME: MD-SMALL JOINTS
- COMPOSITION: Collagen of porcine origin, Viola odorata, Sodium chloride Water for injection.
- PRESENTATION: 10 x 2ml.
- INDICATIONS: Reduces pain and improves mobility of small joints.
- INJECTION DEPTH:
Peri-articular: 26G x 13 mm needle.
Intra-articular: 20G x 20 mm needle.
Note: Carry out thorough skin disinfection with iodopovidone or chlorhexidine.
Peri-articular route: introduce the needle close to the joint, parallel to the capsular plane, at a depth of 6-13 mm.
Intra-articularly: introduce the needle perpendicular to the skin into the small joints.
- PROTOCOL: 1-2 infiltrations per week to contain physiological or pathological deterioration of small joints and ligaments.
Results already evident from the third week but, depending on the patient's clinical situation, treatment can be continued up to the tenth week without risk.
- USE: Strict medical use.
- Vials: 10 x 2ml.
Hand, foot and ankle.
Collagen of porcine origin, Viola odorata, Sodium chloride Water for injection.
- The product should only be injected by trained operators, in a suitable environment, using aseptic technique.
- Injection test in patients with suspected hypersensitivity: if there is a history of allergic reactions, a preliminary intradermal/injective test and observation of the patient for at least 1 hour is recommended.
- Avoid immediate exercise/prolonged mobilisation of the treated area unless indicated.
- Do not extend treatment beyond 10 weeks unless clinically assessed; follow protocols indicated by the manufacturer.
- Do not use after the expiry date; use immediately after opening; do not use if the bottle is damaged.
MD-SMALL JOINTS is contraindicated in the following cases:
- Known hypersensitivity to components (e.g. collagen of porcine origin or other excipients).
- Septic processes or active local/articular infections: do not inject into infected areas or in the presence of an ongoing joint infection.
Counteracts physiological or pathological deterioration of small joints (hand, foot, ankle) and tissues in the case of:
- Metacarpophalangeal arthrosis
- Proximal interphalangeal arthrosis
- Rhizarthrosis
- Tarsalgia/metatarsalgia
- Distortions
- Dysarthrosis
- Painful syndromes of small joints:
- of muscular and/or nervous origin
- from ageing phenomena
- by concomitant chronic diseases
- from trauma and injuries.
MD-SMALL JOINTS is an injectable medical device based on porcine collagen type I that helps reduce pain and improve mobility in the small joints of the hand, foot and ankle by counteracting joint tissue deterioration.
It is administered only by medical personnel via peri-articular injection (26G x 13 mm needle, depth 6-13 mm) or intra-articular injection (20G x 20 mm needle), after thorough skin disinfection.
We recommend 1-2 infiltrations per week. Results may be visible from the third week, but treatment can continue for up to 10 weeks depending on the clinical evaluation.
It is indicated for metacarpophalangeal arthrosis, interphalangeal arthrosis, rhizarthrosis, tarsalgia, metatarsalgia, sprains and pain syndromes caused by trauma, ageing or chronic diseases.
It is contraindicated in the event of hypersensitivity to the components or the presence of active local or joint infections. In case of suspected allergies, it is recommended to perform a preliminary test and observe the patient for at least one hour.
